What is it? 

This camp is centered around a woodworking project and learning to grow hydroponics. The camp, structured like a workforce experience, will allow youth to gain the soft skills needed to enter the workforce. 

Skills learned will include:
Woodworking: Miter box saw, hand saw, drill, pocket screws, sanding, painting
Soft skills: Communication, teamwork, leadership, work ethic, decision making, & critical thinking
Growing: Seeding, propagation, nutrients, & harvesting your lettuce grow
Entrepreneurial: The economy of local food, how to sell locally, tax & license responsibilities
Resume: What is a resume, create a working resume, ways to build it up
Goalsetting: As part of the review and continued learning, students will set goals to work on over the following months and will be engaged in completing those goals in an online group.

Students will be expected to follow "workplace rules" and show up on time. Upon completion, they will have a working resume to begin their job search process and spend time reviewing typical application processes.
